Display Centres Are Open

Building a new home is big decision and making that commitment now, during COVID-19 restrictions may feel even more challenging. Current restrictions on non-essential public gatherings relating to home builders has been eased, meaning customers are able to visit display homes, showroom or selection studios.

To ensure the safety of our customers and staff, and in compliance with Government guidelines, all WISDOM display homes will:
- Maintain social distancing requirements of 1.5m, allowing 1 person per 4m2 (both in the homes and sales offices).
- Allowing a maximum of 6 persons in our display centres including Staff at any given time.
- Provide hand-sanitising upon entry/exit of our displays.
- Clean all high-touch areas after each viewing

We understand that building your new home is a big commitment and that’s why WISDOM is offering a 12 month fixed price tender, giving you peace of mind that your new home journey will continue as soon as you are ready.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
All fixed pricing in tenders are valid for a period of 12 months. All tenders can be further extended by up to another 6 months at an additional cost prior to contact signing. The commencement of site works must be prior to the expiry date noted in the tender to avoid additional costs. This offer is exclusive to Wisdom Homes contract builds. No extension beyond 18 months applies. WISDOM reserves the right to review and revise tender pricing at any time.

Display Centre Update

Due to further restrictions and in compliance with Government guidelines, all WISDOM Display Centres will now be open by appointment only.
The safety and wellbeing of our Staff and Customers remains of the utmost importance at this time.
WISDOM maintains strict guidelines regarding Display Home tours.

Changes to WISDOM’s Contract and Tender Process
Effective 25 March 2020
The current COVID-19 situation remains unpredictable and the National Cabinet looks set to move towards further restrictions on social gatherings and businesses. Thus, WISDOM would like to assure all customers that we remain ready and vigilant by continuing to implement our Business Continuity Plan, which has been actioned to ensure that we can keep operating during these unprecedented times.
WISDOM remains open for business in complete compliance with the Health Departments guidelines relating to social distancing and personal hygiene. We are prepared for the possibility that the Government’s lockdown restrictions may become more extensive causing further disruptions in the future.
We recognise and understand the uncertainty that this situation is causing at this time, and that’s why we are working with our customers to provide reassurance and support throughout the new home build journey with us.
Tender Expiry: Wisdom Homes offers a 9 month fixed price tender (as standard). Customers have the opportunity to extend this for an additional 6 months providing a total of 15 months fixed pricing for additional peace of mind.

In the event of a Government-directed shutdown that affects WISDOM’s operations, your tender expiry date will be extended to cover the duration of the shutdown period. No penalty will be applied to you.
Contract Signing: Effective immediately, we are offering all eligible WISDOM customers the option of deferring their New Home Contract signing, and payment, until Submission Approval (i.e. DA/CDC Approval). Should you opt for this arrangement, an agreement will signed at Tender Acceptance stage and a fixed fee amount is to be paid. The build process will proceed, as will your Canvas Quarter selections and all permits/approvals. Following these steps, you will have the opportunity to sign your New Home Build Contract (with payment made) in order for your home to proceed to Site Start. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can place your home build on hold (with the benefit of all permits and approvals complete in readiness for site start).
This will also allow you plenty of time to seek finance approval from your lender. If you would like to consider this deferred Contract Signing option, please contact your WISDOM Sales Consultant or Customer Service Representative.

WISDOM’S Response to COVID-19
Effective 17 March 2020
Due to the unfolding situation concerning the Coronavirus (COVID-19) globally and within Australia, we would like to provide you with an update on the precautionary measures that have been put in place across all WISDOM sites to protect our staff, customers, visitors, suppliers and contractors.
We have been heavily monitoring the situation on a daily basis and are staying across the official health and workplace advice provided by the Australian Department of Health and NSW Health.
Whilst we maintain rigorous hygiene practices and cleaning standards across all our sites, as a precaution, we have introduced a number of additional measures to reduce the risk and support a safe environment.
In alignment with Government and expert health advice, these measures include:
- Thorough washing of hands
- More frequent cleaning of all WISDOM Display Centres and our Head Office
- Hand sanitizer will be available at all WISDOM sites, located in our Sales Offices and throughout our Head Office.
In addition to this we have emphasized to our staff and contractors the importance of monitoring their own health and if they feel unwell or are showing signs of illness, they are to remain at home and notify the relevant WISDOM contact immediately.
In response to the Federal Government’s recent guidelines around self-isolation for interstate travelers and the introduction of social distancing practices, WISDOM will be introducing a Declaration form to be completed by visitors and customers, prior to any face to face meetings with all WISDOM employees to ensure that we can provide a safe environment for everyone. Should you have any concerns about meeting in person, we will work with you to use other solutions such as; video or tele-conferencing, to ensure that the build of your new home progresses smoothly.
For the safety and health of our staff and the whole community, we are also asking all of our guests and customers to practice good general hygiene and if feeling unwell, to remain at home.

WISDOM’S Coronavirus (COOVID-19) Update

Due to the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its declaration by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a public health emergency, WISDOM is taking considered action to ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of our people, customers, visitors, suppliers and contractors.
WISDOM has in place a business continuity management plan to reduce the potential impact of a pandemic event on WISDOM’s operations and services.
Safeguards that meet official Australian Government COVID-19 guidelines have been implemented and additional steps have been taken to minimise the potential impact on the below:
- We have limited Domestic travel within the Company and only essential travel will occur.
- We have suspended all non-essential international business travel and any travel considered essential now requires approval by the General Manager.
- We have implemented action to follow the Australian Government COVID-19 guidelines, which states anyone who comes into direct contact with a person that has travelled from a high risk destination, or come into contact with someone positive of COVID-19, is required to isolate themselves at home and monitor their health for 14 days from the time of contact. WISDOM is addressing this in two ways:
- WISDOM staff who have travelled to mainland China, South Korea, Japan, Iran or Italy are required to declare this travel and self-quarantine for 14 days from the time of departure from mainland China, South Korea, Japan, Iran or Italy.
- WISDOM staff are confirming with customers and trades, to determine if they’ve travelled to mainland China, South Korea, Japan, Iran or Italy and if so, we will be requesting that face to face meetings are delayed for 14 days.
We have also advised all staff, trades and suppliers who do not feel comfortable travelling (either domestically or internationally) at this time that they should not do so, and alternative arrangements will be made.
1. Customers, guests, suppliers and contractors visiting WISDOM locations across NSW.
The Australian Government advises that anyone who has travelled to mainland China, South Korea, Japan, Iran or Italy, or has come into direct contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the previous 14 days must isolate themselves (other than to seek medical advice) and should monitor their health for 14 days from the date of departure or contact. We ask that our customers, guests, suppliers and contractors follow this advice to ensure their own safety as well as the safety of our other customers, guests, suppliers and contractors, our people and the public.
WISDOM customers, guests, suppliers and contractors who have travelled from or transited through any international location in the last 14 days, we ask that you advise your appropriate WISDOM contact and conduct virtual meetings (rather than in person meetings) for 14 days or cancel/defer the meeting.
WISDOM provides hand sanitisers and disinfectants in all offices and Display Centres to foster a healthy environment, and we encourage visitors (and our people) to adhere to normal hand washing and hygiene practices. If you are feeling unwell when visiting our office or one of our Display Centres, please make your WISDOM representative aware immediately so we can support you accordingly.
2. Working with customers, suppliers and contractors to safeguard the health and safety of our people.
WISDOM requests that our customers take their own measures to respond to COVID-19, in accordance with official Australian Government COVID-19 guidelines.
If WISDOM representatives at a customer’s site are concerned that reasonable practicable steps are not being taken by other personnel to proactively prevent the spread of COVID-19 so far as it is able, WISDOM has directed our people to speak with their manager or Construction Supervisor immediately.
If you are an organisation with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 and WISDOM customers or people may be affected, we ask that you immediately contact your appropriate WISDOM representative.
3. Customers, visitors, suppliers and contractors attending external WISDOM hosted events.
Any WISDOM meetings or events with customers, visitors, suppliers and contractors held outside of our offices or Display Centres will include the following control:
WISDOM will confirm with host venue/s that they have taken reasonably practicable steps, including implementing the recommended Australian Government Coronavirus guidelines to protect our customers, people and visitors, so far as they are able.
